What is a #pinkbox vending machine and whats in them?
A #pinkbox vending machine is just like any normal vending machine but with one special difference this one the user doesn’t need to money to access the goods inside. The machine runs on a 10 minute timer so not to be taken advantage of. Each time the button is pressed the machine dispenses a period pack.
What is in a period pack?
Each period pack has 6 tampons and 2 pads.
Where is the #pinkbox vending machine located and when can it be used?
Inside Angel’s Second 2 None store, at 45a Walla Street Bundaberg. The store is open Monday-Friday 8am to 5:30pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. The machine can be used at any time during store hours.
Who can use the #pinkbox vending machine and how often? Is it really for free?
Any woman can use the #pinkbox, no questions asked as regularly as they need it. It’s always free.
Who pays for the period packs and vending machine then?
All of the credit goes to Share the Dignity and their fundraising. If you would like to donate to the organisation you can directly through their website.
We are also lucky to receive handbags full of womens hygiene products from Share the Dignity that we give out through our emergency hampers to women in need.
