Free Fruit & Vegetables.
Based in Bundaberg we are lucky to be supported by local surrounding farms. We receive seconds fruit and vegetables and pass them onto the community.
Where can I access the free fruit and vegetables?
You can access the free fruit and vegetables through Angels Mini Mart our low cost grocery store at 45a Walla Street Bundaberg.
Who can access the free fruit and vegetables?
Anyone can access the free fruit and vegetables, there is no forms to fill out and no registration needed. You are welcome to pick what you would like from the ‘free table’ abiding by limits in place, take it through the register like any other customer but no need to pay for the produce. The reason we ask for it to be taken through the cash register is so we can keep track of how much we are giving away.
When is there free produce?
Whenever the farms are giving us the free produce we will pass it onto the community. This does depend on the season and when the farms are harvesting. Between January-April we have access to very limited free produce, however the rest of the year there is a lot more.
Who donates to this program?
We have two incredible farms who donate consistently, Cross Family Farms and Dicky Bills Farming. We also are lucky to have other local farms and individuals who donate to us when they have excess stock.
